This is one of those stories where meeting someone online worked out. Here's a condensed timeline of how we met:

Stephon DM's Jae on a dating site.

Jae thinks he's kinda cute.

Stephon starts talking about movies which is one of Jae's favorite things. Then, he starts talking specifically about Marvel movies which Jae absolutely loves.

Jae is glad he is not creepy or dumb.

They agree to meet in person at the Bass Pro Shops in downtown Memphis and go to the observatory.

When they arrive, they realize that the line for the observatory is too long so they decide to go on Beale Street instead to get something to eat. Afterward, they walk over to the hotel/train station to sit and talk in the lobby. They talked for quite some time.

Stephon proposed to Jae on July 17, 2023.

Jae said, YES!!
